Our trip to Shanghai was incredible!  From start to finish I felt like I was in a National Geographic documentary with all of the sights, sounds and smells that you’d expect in such an exotic locale!  I could almost hear Sir Richard Attenborough narrating as we walked.  Yes, it was that cool!

The view of Pudong from the Bund across the Huangpu river – a tributary of the mighty Yangtze. This is the new Shanghai and the center of economic trade – plus the view is incredibly gorgeous at night!

A golden dawn brings a new day to Shanghai and the busy Huangpu river.

The old steel bridge across the Suzhou creek at the end of the Bund, this leads to where many consulates and embassies are located, some dating from the early 20th century.

The local neighbourhoods abound with convenience stores that sell all manner of things to eat and drink…

Once you get off the beaten path you discover a whole new side of Shanghai, we were a complete oddity in this local neighbourhood.
